"Marvell Qdeo Video Processing Expands"
(Interview with Dr. Nikhil Balram of Marvell)
by Greg Tarr
"Qdeo 88DE2710 chipset treats video in three processes, the first removes noise (analog or digital), the second transforms and scales the resolution levels and the third adds image enrichment, with detail, texture, contrast and color to arrive at a natural looking picture.. 'We are in the business of bringing premium technology to the mainstream consumer. We understand that you start at the high end, you prove it and then you bring it down to the mainstream,' Balram said."

LG Super Blu BH200: Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD Player
by Danny Richelieu
"Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD images looked fantastic, with sharp
details and a good sense of depth and dimensionality. The HD DVD of Batman Begins looked superb, with endless blacks and excellent resolution. Fine textures in the HD DVD of Eastern Promises were also resolved well, with the skin patterns under tattoos easily discernable. The Surf's Up Blu-ray Disc also looked pristine, with an incredible sense of realism the animation that really sucked me into the movie."

"The LG BH200 - elevating Qdeo to 'the top rank of video processors'"
by David Birch-Jones
"I'd not heard of Marvell before, nor of their new Qdeo video processing engine, but after running through a suite of torture test patterns on Blu-ray, HD DVD and DVD discs, I was a very happy camper. Put simply, the LG player blew me away with its ability to handle even the most demanding deinterlacing and upconversion trials with aplomb. The LG came through all of the tests with flying colors. To my mind, this instantly elevates the Qdeo processing chip to the top rank of video processors currently available."

"LG Electronics Super Blu BH200 Multi Format HD Disc Player"
by Thomas J. Norton
"The video performance of the SuperBlu was excellent. On my usual collection of tests for upconversion from 480i standard definition to 1080p, it performed as well as, or better than, any other player I have tested-standard or high-definition. The BH200's QDEO video processing from Marvell is clearly the real deal."
